Rendida a uma marca

Antes de mais desculpem-me não ter escrito na semana passada, mas nem sempre as semanas são iguais, de trabalho e de descanso.

Conheci esta marca através do mind the trash com a pasta dos dentes em hortelã pimenta (que já vos falei dela), durou-me quase 5 meses, um sonho. 
Enquanto o meu namorado gastou quase três pastas das comerciais (sim ele ainda não se adaptou às pastas sem espuma), eu gastei a minha da Georganics.

I met this brand through mind the trash with peppermint toothpaste (I've already told you about it), it lasted me almost 5 months, a dream.
While my boyfriend spent almost three folders on the commercials (yes he still did not adapt to the folders without foam), I spent mine from Georganics.

No inicio deste mês, resolvi experimentar a de carvão ativado, o meu feedback relativamente a esta pasta, é que é muito mais pastosa, e com menos espuma que a de hortelã pimenta e tem um paladar refrescante.
 Já noto alguma diferença de tonalidade nos meus dentes (esta é branqueadora).

Earlier this month, I decided to try the activated carbon, my feedback regarding this paste, is that it is much more pasty, and with less foam than peppermint and has a refreshing taste.
I notice some difference in shade in my teeth (this is whitening).

Na viagem a Lisboa, em Janeiro, visitei a loja Sapato Verde, que há muito queria conhecer. Foi lá que encontrei as pastinhas elixir e resolvi comprar para experimentar. Aviso já que nada tem a ver com os elixir convencionais. A primeira vez, estranha-se, mas depois entranha-se eheheh
Para mim é suficiente uma pastilha de cada vez. Mas não uso sempre que lavo os dentes, apenas no final do pequeno-almoço, ou após o uso do fio dental. Como uso goteira corretiva nos dentes convém não deixar nenhum resto de comida.

E por falar em fio dental, também ele é da mesma marca :) pois é, nesta jornada para o Zero Desperdício, devemos procurar alternativas que se enquadrem com o nosso estilo de vida, mas também que não agridam o ambiente. 
Todas as embalagens no mercado têm plástico, e vou confidenciar-vos que sempre me irritou o uso do fio dental, porque não me ajeitava, porque ou gastava sempre muito até sentir que estava limpo correctamente, ou então desintegrava-se facilmente. No entanto, o meu dentista sempre insistiu comigo para que usasse, e agora que deixei de usar aparelho fixo achei que deveria usar.
Este fio dental é natural de carvão de fibra de bambu 100% sustentável, com cera de abelha (vegans, penso que irá surgir uma sem cera de abelha, mas por favor, questionem o mind the trash que vos esclarecerá sobre esse assunto) e óleo essencial de menta. Vem armazenado numa embalagem de vidro, sem plástico, com tampa metálica que permite cortar o fio de uma maneira muito simples e prática. Esta embalagem de vidro vem embalado numa caixa de cartão biodegradável e comportável, totalmente livre de plástico.

And speaking of dental floss, he is also of the same brand :) because it is on this journey to Zero Waste, we should look for alternatives that fit our lifestyle, but also that do not hurt the environment.
All the packages on the market have plastic, and I will tell you that I have always been irritated by the use of dental floss because I did not settle for it because I always spent a lot of time until I felt that it was properly cleaned, or it easily disintegrated. However, my dentist has always urged me to use it, and now that I have stopped using a fixed appliance I thought I should use it.
This floss is natural 100% bamboo fiber charcoal sustainable with beeswax (vegans, I think there will be one without beeswax, but please, ask the mind the trash that will clarify you on this subject) and oil mint essential. It is stored in a glass container, without plastic, with a metal lid that allows to cut the wire in a very simple and practical way. This glass packaging comes packed in a biodegradable and portable carton, totally free of plastic.

Dia Internacional Sem Palhinha

No passado dia 3 de Fevereiro, sábado, foi o Dia Internacional Sem palhinha.

On the 3rd of February, Saturday, it was the International Day No straw.

Pois é, ao que o planeta chegou! ter que haver um dia internacional para festejar algo que não devia existir! algo tão insignificante, mas tão catastrófico para o ambiente.

Yes, the planet has arrived! to have an international day to celebrate something that should not exist! something so insignificant, but so catastrophic for the environment.

Mas como Zero Waster e já que o dia existe, não devemos deixá-lo passar e devemos fazer algo em comunidade para que um dia deixe de ser preciso "festejá-lo" porque já não existem! Pelo menos as de plástico e descartáveis.

But as Zero Waster and since the day exists, we must not let it pass and we must do something in community so that one day it is no longer necessary to "celebrate" because they no longer exist! At least plastic and disposable.

Como tal, para registar o dia, o Daybydayforzerowaste e a Ana do Lixo Zero Portugal andaram pelas ruas do Porto a distribuir alguns folhetos (ver abaixo), e a passar a mensagem. Ninguém tinha conhecimento que esse dia existia, nem muito menos que era no sábado passado. E todos acharam que realmente nem deviam existir, porque não servem para nada.

Os folhetos foram elaborados pelo Mind the trash em parceria com a comunidade Lixo Zero Portugal.

As such, to register the day, Daybydayforzerowaste and Ana do Lixo Zero Portugal walked through the streets of Porto to distribute some leaflets (see below), and to pass on the message. Nobody was aware that this day existed, much less it was last Saturday. And they all thought that they really should not even exist, because they are of no use.

É emergente deixarmos de usar palhinhas descartáveis! As consequências no mundo animal, principalmente marinho, é catastrófico.

It is emerging to stop using disposable straws! The consequences in the animal world, especially marine, are catastrophic.

Tal como a Ana do Lixo Zero Portugal, também o Day by day for Zero Waste reforça o agradecimento ao estabelecimento Alambique no Porto por já não as disponibilizar ao público. 

Like Ana do Lixo Zero Portugal, Day by day for Zero Waste also reinforces the thanks to the Alambique establishment in Porto for not making them available to the public anymore.

Aliás, este espaço prima pelo Zero Desperdício, e pelo cuidado com o ambiente. Os sacos do café, estão cheios, e não de café em grão, mas de borras de café, para posteriormente serem colocadas como adubo. Sim o Alambique tem essa preocupação, e antes de tomar essa decisão, informou-se para saber se estaria a ajudar o planeta ou a prejudicá-lo.

Incidentally, this space excels by Zero Waste, and by the care of the environment. The coffee bags are full, not coffee beans, but coffee grounds, and then put as fertilizer. O chá vem em saquetas, biodegradáveis, mas de comercio justo, em que uma cota é para a comunidade que o planta, colhe e prepara na cidade do Congo, dito pela própria voz do espaço.
