Alguns dos espaços que vou partilhar hoje, já foram referidos nos vídeos da semana #lixozeroportugal referente ao desafio #setembrosustentavel. No entanto, e porque poderemos ter vontade de rever, irei voltar a repetir. 

Some of the spaces that I will share today, have already been mentioned in the videos of the week #lixozeroportugal referring to the challenge #setembrosudosentavel. However, and because we may want to review, I will repeat.

O primeiro espaço/restaurante onde testei o meu Kit ZW almoço, foi no Celeiro do Gaia Shopping, junto ao hipermercado continente (ver abaixo)

The first space / restaurant where I tested my ZW Lunch Kit, was at the Celeiro of Gaia Shopping, next to the continent hypermarket (see below)

                         

                         

Quando consegui que as funcionários do Celeiro sempre que olhassem para mim, já sabiam que não queria nem papel de tabuleiro, nem talheres, resolvi aventurar-me em mais espaços dentro do mesmo centro comercial. Seguem portanto, os restantes locais onde é possível fazê-lo, mesmo que não nos apeteça mudar de restaurante ou até mesmo de hábitos alimentares para poder ser Zero Desperdício:

When I got the Celeiro store the staff to look at me whenever they knew I did not want any board or cutlery, I decided to venture into more places in the same mall. O restaurante Da Terra da baixa da cidade do Porto é um exemplo de um espaço onde podemos usar o nosso Kit ZW, apesar ter sido uma experiência um pouco engraçada (sim porque nestas alturas é preferível levarmos para o lado cómico) o recusar do guardanapo de papel e da palhinha descartável, mas no final, o Daybydayforzerowaste e um grupo de Zero Waster's conseguimos levar a nossa a avante e evitar o desperdício desses dois grandes males para o ambiente.

The Da Terra restaurant downtown Porto is an example of a space where we can use our Kit ZW, although it was a rather funny experience (because at this point it is better to take to the comic side), the refuse of the napkin of paper and straw disposable, but in the end, Daybydayforzerowaste and a group of Zero Waster's got to take ours ahead and avoid the waste of these two great evils for enviroment.

Conheci a Saponina em Setembro com os vídeos do #lixozerostorytime quando a Inês Espada Nobre falou na sua intervenção e os recomendou.

I met Saponina in September with #lixozerostorytime videos when Inês Espada Nobre spoke in her speech and recommended them.

Já algum tempo procurava uma nova opção para substituir o meu desodorizante caseiro. Eu gosto da eficácia da maioria das vezes e do cheiro do meu desodorizante, no entanto, a consistência e o facto de não resultar com roupa claras levou-me a procurar outra alternativa.

Some time ago I was looking for a new option to replace my homemade deodorant. I like the effectiveness most of the time and the smell of my deodorant, however, the consistency and the fact that it did not result in light clothing led me to look for another alternative.

Procurava um desodorizante sólido, sem embalagem e foi na Saponina que encontrei o meu actual desodorizante.

I was looking for a solid deodorant without packaging and it was at Saponina that I found my current deodorant.

Estou bastante contente, primeiro porque adorei conhecer a Liliana (ainda pelo telefone, é verdade, mas ouvi-la é super cativante), para terem uma noção, a minha hora do almoço é das 12h30 às 14h e nesse dia comecei a falar com a Liliana ao 12h30 e quando dei por mim só tinha 30 min para almoçar (ainda bem que nesse dia tinha levado almoço de casa) e comi a voar.

I'm very happy, first because I loved meeting Liliana (still on the phone, it's true, but listening to her is very captivating), to have a notion, my lunch time is from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on that day I started talking to Liliana at 12.30 and when I found out I only had 30 minutes to go to lunch (I was glad I had brought lunch from home that day) and I started to fly.

Foi super interessante ouvi-la com os seus conselhos e dicas a cada indicação de como é a nossa pele, cabelo, alguma dúvida nossa relativamente a algum produto que ela tem e os ingredientes que os produtos dela possuem e qual a sua base, o azeite (um produto tão português)

It was super interesting to listen to her with her advice and tips at every indication of how our skin, hair, some doubt ours regarding some product that she has and the ingredients that the products of her own and what its base, the oil (a product so Portuguese)

Optei portanto por comprar um desodorizante de Tea Tree e Palmerosa, indicado para o que eu pretendia, eficácia no odor e que não manchasse a roupa. É verdade que estamos numa estação do ano mais fresca e a tendência é usar roupas mais escuras, mas até ao momento não tenho tido roupas manchadas por causa do desodorizante :)

I chose therefore to buy a deodorant of Tea Tree and Palmerosa, indicated for what I intended, efficacy in the odor and that did not stains the clothes. It is true that we are in a cooler season and the trend is to wear darker clothes, but so far I have not had clothes stained because of the deodorant :)

Aproveitei, e após a minha encantadora conversa com a Liliana, também comprar um sabonete para o rosto adequado a peles mistas e ainda fiquei a conhecer melhor a pele do meu rosto, tão característica :) 

I took advantage, and after my lovely conversation with Liliana, also buy a soap for the face suitable for mixed skin and still got to know better the skin of my face, so characteristic :)

Como não tive oportunidade de me deslocar a Lisboa, no fim de semana do Organii EcoMarket e receber a minha encomenda em mão, e gostaria de poupar o ambiente com o desperdício de transporte, tive a sorte de arranjar uma "boleia" com a minha querida Ana @anangoslowly que me entregou em mãos :) uma vez mais gostaria de agradecer à adorada Filipa @a.face.verde que se mostrou disponível para agilizar a entrega em mãos à Ana. Estou desejosa por poder ir a Lisboa para te conhecer :)

As I did not have the opportunity to travel to Lisbon during the weekend of Organii EcoMarket and receive my order in hand, and would like to save the environment with the waste of transport, I was fortunate to arrange a "ride" with my dear Ana @anangoslowly who handed it to me :) Once again I would like to thank the beloved Filipa @a.face.verde who showed up available to expedite delivery to Ana. Consumo animal #1

Sei que a maioria dos defensores do zero desperdício e da poluição zero, são vegetarianos ou até mesmo vegan. 

I know that most of the proponents of zero waste and zero pollution are vegetarian or even vegan.

Como vocês já sabem, tento ter muito cuidado com os temas polémicos aqui no blog, pois não pretendo que exista mal estar por aqui, eu sou da paz. No entanto, também sabem que todos os temas devem ser abordados para que em conjunto possamos partilhar experiência e dicas para o caminho de cada um. 

As you already know, I try to be very careful with the controversial themes here in the blog, because I do not intend that there be evil around here, I am of peace. However, they also know that all topics should be addressed so that together we can share experience and tips for each one's path.

Hoje o tema que vos trago é o consumo de ovos. Mais concretamente os de galinha. 

Today the theme that I bring to you is the consumption of eggs. More specifically those of chicken.

Os que ouviram o meu directo, e os que já me vão acompanhando aqui no blog, sabem que não sou vegan, mas que o meu caminho a cada dia se inclina para o vegetarianismo. 

Those who have listened to my direct, and those who have followed me here on the blog, know that I am not vegan, but that my daily path is inclined towards vegetarianism.

Que a cada dia, penso no que como, de onde vem o que como, que cuidados teve o animal que como, na dúvida não como, mas sempre pensando paralelamente com a minha saúde, e tentando sempre comer o que é caseiro (por vezes não consigo). 

That every day, I think of what I eat, where it comes from what I eat, what care the animal had that I eat, in doubt I do not eat, but always thinking in parallel with my health, and trying to always eat what is homemade (sometimes I can not). 

No caso específico dos ovos, pessoalmente ainda tenho a sorte de consumir ovos caseiros. Tenho familiares que criam galinhas e por isso os ovos são consumidos a partir dessa fonte. 

In the specific case of eggs, personally I am still fortunate enough to consume homemade eggs. I have relatives who raise chickens and so the eggs are consumed from that source.

No entanto, como não moro sozinha e como nem todos estamos no mesmo patamar de sensibilização, por vezes existe a necessidade de comprar ovos não caseiros. Com a minha jornada, passei a olhar a comida antes de ingerida com "olhos de auditor" (se me faço entender) e ser criteriosa na minha análise antes da compra. 

However, since I do not live alone and since we are not all at the same level of awareness, sometimes there is a need to buy eggs that are not homemade. With my journey, I began to look at the food before it was eaten with "eyes of an auditor" (if I understand myself) and be careful in my analysis before the purchase.

O que devemos ter sempre em atenção quando vamos comprar ovos (em Portugal):
1- Se os animais foram criados em gaiolas*
2- Se os animais foram criados em solo (como são designados, mas que na realidade o que quer dizer, é se os animais foram criados em espaço aberto)**

*o primeiro número que aparece na casca do ovo, determina se os animais foram criados em espaço aberto ou em gaiolas (3 para gaiolas; 2 para espaço aberto)

** não quer dizer necessariamente que os animais sejam considerados "frangos de campo", mas que na realidade tiveram alguma "qualidade de vida! e que não tenham vivido a maioria da sua vida fechados e enjaulados num cubículo que mal cabem. O preço é consideravelmente maior, no entanto, a qualidade também é melhor e se nos vamos alimentar de derivados de animais e não temos como consumi-los de forma caseira, então que comamos os de melhor qualidade para a nossa saúde, mas também com menor crueldade animal (estes ovos são também aqueles que se aproximam mais dos caseiros, visivelmente, por poderem apresentar diferentes tamanhos).

What we should always keep in mind when we buy eggs (in Portugal):
1 - If the animals were raised in cages *

2 - If the animals were bred on the ground (as they are designated, but in reality what it means, is if the animals were bred in open space) **

*the first number appearing on eggshell, determines whether the animals were bred in open space or in cages (3 for cages, 2 for open space)

** does not necessarily mean that the animals are considered "field chickens", but that in reality they had some "quality of life!" and that they have not lived most of their lives locked up and caged in a cubicle that barely fit. however, quality is also better and if we are going to feed on animal derivatives and we do not have how to consume them in a homemade way, then let us eat those of better quality for our health but also with lower animal cruelty ( these eggs are also those that approach more of the homemade ones, visibly, since they can present different sizes).

                      

Microplásticos

Hoje trago-vos um assunto muito sério para falar!
É um assunto que já me vem preocupando há algum tempo, porque estão em todo o lado.
Mesmo que todos nos tornemos vegetarianos, e deixemos de comer peixe, iremos encontrá-los no sal marinho, aliás já existem três marcas de sal marinho, que a maioria de nós consome e quem nos garante que até não estaremos a bebê-los na água que ingerimos?

Today I bring you a very serious subject to speak!
It's a subject that has been worrying me for some time, because it's everywhere.

Even if we all become vegetarians, and we stop eating fish, we will find them in sea salt, in fact there are already three brands of sea salt, which most consume and who guarantees us that we will not even be drinking them in the water we ingest ?

Dizem os especialistas, que a quantidade não é significativa, mas também alertam para o facto de os "Os microplásticos poderem libertar poluentes no nosso organismo que, a longo prazo, podem provocar problemas de saúde." Designam-nos até de "microbombas".

They say that the amount is not significant, but also warn that "Microplastics can release pollutants in our body that, in the long run, can cause health problems." They even call them "micro pumps".

Peço desculpa aos leitores estrangeiros, mas estes jornais estão escritos em português. Certamente nos vossos países têm noticias idênticas. Este é um mal global e infelizmente ninguém escapa.

Não vos quero causar alarmismo, muito pelo contrário, quero que se consciencializem porque se não for por causa do ambiente, ou até mesmo pela vossa própria saúde, quem tem miúdos pequenos na vossa família, pensem, ... o que estarão as nossas crianças a ingerir?
Se o estômago de uma ave aparece com tanto plástico, o que acontecerá ao de um bebé ou de uma criança pequena?

I do not want to cause alarmism, on the contrary, I want you to be aware that if it is not for the environment, or even for your own health, who has small kids in your family, think, ... what will our children to ingest?

If a bird's stomach appears with so much plastic, what happens to a baby's or a small child's?

Vocês já devem ter ouvido falar deles, mas na realidade não sabemos muito bem o que podemos fazer para os evitar, já que estão em todo o lado!

You may have heard of them, but in reality we do not know very well what we can do to avoid them, since they are everywhere!

Pois é, infelizmente já andamos a ingerir MICROPLÁSTICOS há muito tempo... e a culpa é de todos nós, seres humanos!

Well, unfortunately, we've been taking MICROPLASTICS for a long time ... and it's the fault of all of us human beings!

É na realidade um assunto muito sério e por isso, vos peço...RECUSEM se possível todo o tipo de plásticos, mas principalmente aqueles que NUNCA poderão ser reciclados e aqueles que são descartáveis, ou que apenas têm uma vida!

It really is a very serious matter and therefore, I ask you... REFUSE if possible all kinds of plastics, but especially those that can NEVER be recycled and those that are disposable, or that just have a life!

Para terem uma noção exata, TODOS OS ANOS, vão parar aos oceanos, entre 5 a 13 milhões de toneladas de plástico (conclusão de um estudo recente da revista SCIENCE com dados de 192 países costeiros). Não sei bem se estão cientes, mas o problema está a atingir proporções gigantescas! 

To get an accurate picture, EVERY YEAR goes to the oceans, between 5 and 13 million tons of plastic (conclusion of a recent SCIENCE study with data from 192 coastal countries). I'm not sure if they are aware, but the problem is reaching gigantic proportions!

É EMERGENTE FAZER ALGUMA COISA! e nós em Portugal temos que de alguma forma exigir a mudança nas leis e ACABAR com o uso de plásticos, principalmente nas empresas!

IT IS EMERGENT TO DO SOMETHING! and we in Portugal have to somehow require change in laws and FINISH with the use of plastics, especially in companies!
