Embrulhos de Natal amigos do Ambiente

Espero que tenham tido um Natal mágico :)

I hope you had a magical Christmas :)

Como vem sendo hábito de outros anos, tento sempre que os presentes de Natal sejam o mais amigos do ambiente, quanto possível.
Ou faço as lembranças, ou então os embrulhos tento que sejam o mais zero waste quanto possível.

As it has been a habit of other years, I always try to make Christmas presents as environmentally friendly as possible.
Either I make the souvenirs, or the packages I try to make them as zero waste as possible.

Este ano resolvi embrulhar os meus presentes em tecido!

This year I decided to wrap my gifts in cotton cloth!

Não é nada fácil fazer embrulhos em tecidos, porque não podemos remediar com fita-cola, mas ficam mesmo bonitos :) e vale sempre a pena ver a cara das crianças a olhar para esta forma de embrulhar presentes.

It's not easy to make wrapping in fabrics, because we can't remedy with tape, but they look really nice :) and it's always worth seeing the children's faces looking at this way to wrap presents.

Até porque sendo um tecido alusivo ao Natal ninguém sabe de onde vêm os presentes, nem onde foram comprados, até serem desembrulhados. Cria-se o factor surpresa :)

Even because being a fabric allusive to Christmas no one knows where the gifts come from, or where they were bought, until they are unwrapped. The surprise factor is created :)

Este ano optei por oferecer lembranças da Saponina para as minhas tias, mãe e cunhada. Para quem tem tudo é difícil acertar, e umas velas e uns cheirinhos para pôr as nossas roupas ou o nosso ambiente cheiroso é sempre uma óptima escolha.

This year I chose to offer Saponina souvenirs to my aunts, mother and sister-in-law. For those who have everything is difficult to hit, and candles and scents to put our clothes or our environment smelling is always a great choice.

Para o meu pai, tio e irmão, ofereci chocolates como vem sendo habitual, assim adoço o paladar o ano inteiro :)

For my father, uncle and brother, I offered chocolates as usual, so I sweeten the palate all year :)

O meu Natal este ano não foi isento de desperdício, pois os chocolates vieram em caixa de cartão e as prenda do meu namorado e dos meus sobrinhos também foram embrulhados em papel.

My Christmas this year was not without its waste because the chocolates came in a cardboard box and the gifts of my boyfriend and my nephews were also wrapped in paper.

No entanto, já avisei os meus sobrinhos que para o ano, também os presentes deles irão ser embrulhados em tecido, ao qual despertei na minha sobrinha um sorriso de alegria e expliquei-lhes o porquê dessa minha decisão e eles deram-me razão :) ... ainda são crianças, mas já com idades suficientes para entender o desperdício de papel nos embrulhos.

However, I have already warned my nephews that for the year, their gifts will also be wrapped in cloth, to which I woke up a smile of joy in my niece and explained to them why my decision was made and they gave me reason :) ... they are still children, but already old enough to understand the waste of paper in the packages.

Encomendas e lembranças amigas do ambiente

Desde que fiz a minha primeira compra na Miristica que fiquei bastante agradada com a embalagem. Caixa em cartão, e as encomendas que na altura, há já quase um ano, vinham embrulhadas apenas em folha de papel de embrulho de encomendas reciclado, sem plástico a envolver. Fiquei maravilhada e foi também essa opinião que partilhei com a equipa da Miristica. 

Since I made my first purchase at Miristica I was very pleased with the packaging. The cardboard box, and the orders that were almost a year old, had been wrapped only in sheet of recycled parcel wrapping paper, without plastic to wrap. I was amazed and it was also this opinion that I shared with the Miristica team.

Não devemos só criticar as falhas, os erros e o que não gostamos. É importante elogiar, quando gostamos, porque faz com as pessoas se sintam motivadas a continuar a fazer. Esta publicação de hoje é exactamente para isso, para elogiar quando gosto!

We should not only criticize failures, mistakes and dislikes. It is important to praise, when we like it, because it makes people feel motivated to continue to do so. This publication today is exactly for that, to compliment when I like it!

Claro que desde esta primeira encomenda, que fiquei mais exigente com todas as encomendas que recebo em casa. Umas agradam-me mais do que outras, até mesmo na mesma loja.

Of course since this first order, I have become more demanding with all the orders I receive at home. Some please me more than others, even in the same store.

Entretanto, fiz outras encomendas, noutras lojas e hoje com esta pequena publicação, quero partilhar convosco algumas dessas encomendas mais amigas do ambiente.

Meanwhile, I made other orders, in other stores and today with this small publication, I want to share with you some of these orders more environmentally friendly.

Sapato Verde

Sobre as encomendas da Sapato Verde gostaria de referir que o que encomendei veio numa caixa de outro artigo vendido por eles e que o papel de embrulho nada tinha a ver com a loja, seria uma folha de rascunho de impressão que a Sapato Verde aproveitou o verso da página para embrulhar e escrever a morada. Adorei o carimbo como símbolo da marca, o que denota uma enorme preocupação ambiental. Plástico, só mesmo a fita cola e o autocolante do selo do correio.

Regarding Sapato Verde's orders, I would like to mention that what I ordered came in a box of another item sold by them and that the wrapping paper had nothing to do with the store, it would be a sketch sheet that Sapato Verde took advantage of the verse of the page to wrap and write the address. I loved the stamp as a symbol of the brand, which denotes a huge environmental concern. Plastic, only the adhesive tape and the sticker of the postage stamp.

Alambique - Porto

O Alambique é um espaço no Porto que gosto muito de ir, é uma cafetaria, livraria, loja, um espaço cheio de design do tempo dos nossos avós. Quando entro lá, sinto-me noutra época e de repente, esqueço-me do mundo lá fora. Como primam pelo que é antigo, os embrulhos também se assemelham àquela época, em que não havia plástico e em que tudo tinha um encanto.
No meu aniversário, uma amiga querida sabia que adoro os pratos que eles lá vendem e resolveu presentear-me com os mesmos e portanto o presente veio embrulhado à moda antiga, em papel e com um fio. O Alambique é para mim um local que prima por ser amigo do ambiente até nos chás que serve, em que os saquinhos são biodegradáveis. Pode não ser zero desperdício, mas por lá já se pensa em algo mais ecológico. E o símbolo da marca, é também um carimbo.

The Alambique is a space in Oporto that I really like to go to, it's a cafeteria, bookstore, shop, a space full of time design of our grandparents. When I go in there, I feel like another time and suddenly I forget the world outside. Primarily old-fashioned, the wrapping also resembles that era when there was no plastic and everything had a charm.
On my birthday, a dear friend knew that I love the dishes they sell there and decided to give them to me and so the gift came wrapped in the old fashioned, paper and with a thread. The alembic is for me a place that excels at being friendly to the environment even in the teas it serves, where the sachets are biodegradable. It may not be zero waste, but by then one thinks of something greener. And the symbol of the mark, is also a stamp.


Mind The Trash

                    

As duas encomendas feitas à Mind the Trash são amigas do ambiente. Aliás tudo o que a loja vende prima pela preocupação com o ambiente e com a nossa saúde. 

The two orders made to Mind the Trash are environmentally friendly. In fact, everything the store sells is prized for concern about the environment and our health.

As caixas em cartão, as folhas de cartão que envolvem os nossos produtos, para que venham na viagem bem acondicionados. Grande parte destas lojas, já têm fita cola em papel reciclado.

The cardboard boxes, the cardboard sheets that surround our products, so that they come on the journey well packaged. Most of these stores already have tape on recycled paper.

Não se esqueçam de pesquisar lindos produtos que têm para nos oferecer, e receber em casa embrulhados em encomendas amigas do ambiente.

Do not forget to research beautiful products they have to offer us, and receive them at home wrapped in environmentally friendly orders.

Já agora, não deitem as embalagens fora, procurem saber se têm algum amigo ou familiar que as possam reaproveitar uma vez mais, com embrulhos de Natal, encomendas com algo em casa para vender, ou até quem sabe nalgum mudança de casa.

By the way, do not throw the packages away, find out if they have a friend or relative who can reuse them once more, with Christmas packages, orders with something at home to sell, or even who knows about a change of house.

Lembrem-se que tudo o que recebemos pode ter uma segunda, terceira ... vida antes de acabar no caixote do lixo, ou no ecoponto mais próximo.

Remember that everything we get can have a second, third ... life before it ends up in the dustbin, or at the nearest ecoponto.

Juntos seremos mais fortes!

É verdade que sozinhos podemos ser mais rápidos, principalmente quando não vemos interesse de outros, mas na verdade juntos seremos mais fortes e chegaremos mais longe!

It is true that we can be faster on our own, especially when we see no interest from others, but in fact, we will be stronger together and we will go further!

Já tinha partilhado dessa opinião convosco, anteriormente, no entanto, hoje venho uma vez mais reforçar!

Como todo os que têm instagram sabem, somos seguidos por muitos, e seguimos muitos perfis de todos os cantos do planeta.

Gostaria hoje de partilhar algumas parcerias via rede social, uma conversa que tive com um perfil @myzerowasteworld. Por vezes, achamos que estaremos a ter uma melhor opção para o ambiente, e na realidade, quando outra pessoa, mesmo que seja do outro lado do mundo, nos mostra uma nova alternativa, é que nos apercebemos que a nossa não era assim tão amiga do ambiente.

I would like to share some social network partnerships today, a conversation I had with a profile @myzerowasteworld. Sometimes we think that we are having a better choice for the environment, and in reality, when another person, even on the other side of the world, shows us a new alternative, we realize that ours was not so friendly the environment.

Pois é, foi o que aconteceu desta vez, com este perfil. @myzerowasteworld partilhou a sua experiência com as escovas de dentes em bambu, mais concretamente, que o seu cabo é biodegradável, mas que as cerdas infelizmente ainda não o são e que tinha que as retirar/separar da restante parte da escova e que estas iriam para o lixo normal ou orgânico. 

Yeah, that's what happened this time, with this profile. @myzerowasteworld shared his experience with bamboo toothbrushes, more specifically that his cable is biodegradable, but that the bristles unfortunately are not yet and that he had to remove them from the rest of the brush and that they would for normal or organic waste.

Foi aí, então que eu sugeri que em vez de retirar as cerdas e deitar o cabo no lixo orgânico, que desse outra função às escovas, que é o que tenho vindo a fazer, desde que comecei esta minha jornada para o Zero Desperdício e que até mesmo com as anteriores escovas em plástico.

It was then that I suggested that instead of removing the bristles and throwing the cord in the organic garbage, I gave the brushes another function, which is what I have been doing since I started this journey to Zero Waste and even with previous plastic brushes.

Mas por exemplo, outra função que tenho vindo a dar às minhas escovas velhas, é usá-las na limpeza, por exemplo da banheira, zonas mais difíceis de limpar. Estas são as minhas duas soluções para as escovas de dentes que ainda não são totalmente biodegradáveis e/ou recicláveis.

But for example, another function that I have been giving to my old brushes is to use them in the cleaning, for example of the bathtub, areas more difficult to clean. These are my two solutions for toothbrushes that are not yet fully biodegradable and/or recyclable.

Esta publicação de hoje, foge um pouco ao que tenho vindo a partilhar convosco. No entanto, e tal como o nome do próprio blog, o meu dia a dia para chegar ao zero desperdício.

This publication today is a little bit fleeting to what I have been sharing with you. However, and just like the name of the blog itself, my day to day to reach zero waste.
The conviviality, and the knowledge of extraordinary people that I have come to know, only exists because I chose this lifestyle, so I think I should share them too!

No feriado dia 1 Dezembro fui a Lisboa a convite da minha adorara amiga Joana Tadeu da A Montra the Window e na viagem de regresso, no comboio, senti uma felicidade tão grande que transbordava o meu coração.

On the December 1 holiday I went to Lisbon at the invitation of my beloved friend Joana Tadeu da A Montra the Window and on the return trip, on the train, I felt a happiness so great that it overflowed my heart.

Obrigada vida, por me presenteares com pessoas magníficas!! por com elas, fazeres com que conheça ainda mais pessoas extraordinárias, que formam projectos ainda mais extraordinários! Sinto-me privilegiada e sortuda por isso. Pessoas delicadas e ao mesmo tempo com uma enorme força espiritual, é das coisas que mais agradeço à vida por me ter mostrado e me tem vindo a mostrar!

Thank you life, for bringing me with magnificent people!! by means of them, make you meet even more extraordinary people, who form even more extraordinary projects! I feel privileged and lucky for that. Delicate people and at the same time with a great spiritual strength, it is the things that I thank the most for life for showing me and showing me!

Quem ainda não dá valor às pequenas coisas da vida, não sabe realmente o que anda a perder!

Conheci tantos projectos lindos na A Montra The Window que já tenho vindo acompanhar nos seus perfis do instagram. 

On this trip, I met Joana Tadeu and Joana Gândara Reis live with whom I have been speaking since the September challenge. I met Elsa Poderosa who makes beautiful and super expressive drawings. I met Salomé from Fast Fashion Portugal and the concept of his project, super inspiring by the way. I have known so many beautiful projects in A Montra The Window that I have already been accompanying in their instagram profiles.

E conheci ao vivo a Filipa Jordão do perfil de instagram @a.face.verde, já venho a acompanhar o seu perfil há algum tempo e falado com ela, e digo-vos desde já que a Filipa é um doce como pessoa! Fui surpreendida por ela, com um miminho que me quis oferecer, que além de me encher o coração, me fez ficar sem reação ao seu gesto. Por isso, acho que partilhá-lo aqui e para todos é a melhor homenagem que posso fazer-lhe, porque fiquei genuinamente emocionada!

And I met Filipa Jordão live on instagram @a.face.verde profile, I've been following your profile for some time and talked to her, and I'm telling you right away that Filipa is a sweet person! I was surprised by her, with a little cuddle that she wanted to offer me, which, besides filling my heart, made me feel unresponsive to her gesture. So I think sharing it here and for everyone is the best tribute I can give you, because I was genuinely excited!

The miminho was a candle from Saponina, the Portuguese brand that I have already told you and that I love! the candle is made of soybeans and is of a beauty that is only ever seen and smelled. Um dia magnifico que me encheu o coração!
